This page outlines the VisFind policy for maintaining the privacy of your information.

Email Addresses

We do not share member email addresses under any circumstances.

To protect members from SPAM, email addresses are never shown on publicly accessible pages. Members can identify each other by their Member ID number (which does not change) or their Display Name (which can be changed at any time).

Cookies

VisFind may use cookies to improve the end user experience. Information stored in cookies relates only to display preferences, and does not include any information that would be deemed private by the end user.

We do not use cookies to store information such as email addresses or any information that could be used to gain unauthorized access to a member's account.

Credit Card Details

We do not store credit card details in any form. All payment data is managed and protected by PayPal.

IP Addresses

We use IP addresses to identify the country that an individual user is accessing VisFind. This is done primarily to simplify the advertisement creation process.

Our web server log files store IP addresses in case we need to track down the source of a security breach or a Denial of Service attack. This data is retained for internal use only and is not made available to third parties.

Search Queries

On occasion we may keep lists of the search strings that users type in. This data is collected to help us improve the efficiency of our search algorithms.

This information includes the literal strings that a user types into the search input field. It does not include IP addresses or any other forms of user identification. The information we collect is for internal use only and will not be shared with third parties.

Secure Transmission

All pages that transmit sensitive information operate through SSL encryption. These pages are not accessible without SSL.

Please be aware that searches are not performed through SSL for performance reasons.

Third Party Web Sites

While we take great care to protect the privacy of users, VisFind cannot be responsible for the actions of the web sites that we advertise.

Always check the privacy policy of a third-party web site before supplying personal information.

Disclosure to Law Enforcement

VisFind Media Pty Ltd may disclose information about member accounts and logged activities to law enforcement agencies without further consent or notification to the member upon lawful request from such agencies.

We intend to cooperate fully with law enforcement agencies.
